London, Feb. 21, 2023 — Music Ally and Universal Music Group are delighted to invite submissions for a new award to recognise up-and-coming entrepreneurial talent as part of the forthcoming Music Ally NEXT conference which will take place in London on Tuesday 25th April.
The Music Ally NEXT Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, supported by Universal Music Group, is now open for submissions from both young entrepreneurs themselves and from those who wish to nominate other young entrepreneurs.
Nominees must be young entrepreneurs from anywhere globally who are working in the music tech space or have created or built a company or independent project in the music tech space.
The company/project can be any of the following:
- An early-stage commercial startup
- A not-for-profit business/project
- An initiative or project which is not a standalone business
- An academic project with an entrepreneurial slant
Submissions should be made at this link and the deadline for submissions is midday UK time on Monday 20th March.
A shortlist of successful nominees will be chosen by Music Ally and Universal Music Group’s Digital Innovation team. Those candidates will be invited to present at the Music Ally NEXT conference, where a winner will be chosen by attendees (both online and in person).
The shortlisted finalists will be matched with a mentor from Universal Music Group and the winner will be presented with an award at the event and matched with a team of mentors from Universal Music Group.

Their knowledge and experience will be invaluable to up and coming innovators.”
