Although The-Dream is working tirelessly to top his last smash hit, the gold certified Love vs. Money, he nevertheless maintains an utmost confidence in the tracks he’s recorded until now: “"I have to pace myself 'cause there's so much time between here and then …but the seven records I do have are timeless records.” The-Dream says fans can expect songs that are reminiscent of his last two albums, however plans to offer only "hints" of the hits he's written for Rihanna, Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and others. One track he guarantees in the upcoming album, is his own special cover of Michael Jackon’s “Dirty Dianna” - "I've been trying to sing that song forever" he claims.
The-Dream’s busy working schedule doesn’t end here. In addition to balancing recording sessions for the new album, The-Dream will be in Los Angeles preparing for his tour with Keyshia Cole, which starts Wednesday in Cincinnati. Unlike his previous surprise guest appearance on last year's Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige tour, this run will allow him to present a more able performance, complete with four dancers and a five-piece band, in what the artist himself calls “a bigger Dream.”
To top off his headlining tour in the Fall, The-Dream’s resume will only expand in the coming months. Fans can expect forthcoming work with Mariah Carey, Brandy and Christina Milian. However, the music The-Dream is clearly looking most forward to releasing, will have to be a duet with Sean “P.Diddy” Combs called "Change." A track that The-Dream calls "probably one of the best male records I've ever written...the best record I've written besides 'Umbrella.'"
