Triple Platinum Taylor Swift To Appear On CSI

This upcoming Thursday, March 5, pop and country sensation Taylor Swift will be guest appearing on CSI: Crime Scene Investigations, a show she calls one of her favorites. She will be playing a character by the name of Haley Jones in an episode called “Turn, Turn, Turn.” You can catch Entertainment Tonight tomorrow night for an interview with the artist and a preview of the show’s plot. This is not the only good news Swift has been receiving in recent days; This past Monday will mark her 11th consecutive week in the number one spot for Billboard’s Top 200 All Genre Album Sales Chart.

In addition to this credit, Swift announced earlier today that she will be teaming up with Verizon Wireless for a national high school contest in which the winning school of the competition gets to host a free Taylor Swift contest for all of its students and faculty. Taylor is going on full gear for the contest, in which she will be preparing for an extensive commercial campaign that involves specialized on-demand programming on Verizon’s FIOS-TV, promotional spots on various television programs, radio and jumbotron advertisement, not to mention digital billboards in shopping malls and free printable PDF posters for high school students to display on their campus walls.

Taylor is currently finishing a tour in Australia where her album Fearless just went Gold. In the US, Fearless is currently Triple-Platinum. On April 23rd Taylor will be returning to the States for her first-ever shot at headlining, the "Taylor Swift Fearless 2009 Tour" which kicks off in Indiana. All tickets are already sold-out within one hour of opening. Taylor is currently featured on the magazine covers of Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue and Self for this month’s issues.
